With complicated organisations like yours, it is normal that improving performance needs some training to improve things. But jumping straight to training leads to courses where you spend a lot of money and don’t get results. First we need to analyse your situation, and see whether training can help. Then, we’ll design training to help people get better at those key skills. All our training uses best practices for learning. Training can be online, in-person or a combination. We often include additional support before and after the “course”, so training isn’t a one-time event.

Your support and contributions to the analysis are particularly important. Gathering data from stakeholders can be difficult without a champion who pushes that forwards. We will also need your support with managing and motivating the group – getting them to the location of the workshop or following up with those who fall behind in an online programme for example. We’ll also work together to assess the impact of what we’ve done.
It looks however it needs to look to get you the results you need! Most of my online training is multi-week workshops with diverse groups practicing skills in real-life or realistic scenarios. The tasks that help them practice are the centrepiece of the courses. My face-to- face courses tend to have pre- and post-workshop study components to support practice, and the workshops are highly participatory, focused on practicing skills that need interaction and feedback.
I personally don’t do self-paced e-learning – it’s not a core skill of mine and a lot of it has very low impact – and it costs a lot. If there is a very compelling reason why self-paced e- learning will address your situation, I can bring an expert in to build that, based on the analysis. Like other kinds of training, it will need to include significant skills practice.
